Is YS Jagan Pass or Fail in Andhra Pradesh's First Assembly Sessions?

The first Assembly session's were completed on Thursday. YS Jagan Mohan Reddy made debut speech as a opposition leader during the first assembly sessions after state bifurcation under huge expectations.

It seems YS Jagan has done lot of homework and had come up with brief stats on various issues to control the ruling party. He demanded TDP government to finish all the promises made in TDP's manifesto and also insists that YSRCP will support the government to implement and pass the people-friendly policies.

Jagan's speech was interesting and can say that he managed to grab the people's attention during his first attempt as a opposition leader. However, he was unable to give response to the questions raised by Minister Ramakrishnudu. Also, he didn't defend himself and his party MLAs when CM Chandra Babu Naidu says that Jagan and his MLAs have no experience.

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has clearly stated that their over confidence leads to loss in last elections. Seniors in political circles say after looking at Jagan's speech in assembly Chandra Babu Naidu needs to be careful about Jagan.

Chandrababu Naidu lost hopes on upcoming by-polls

TDP President Nara Chandrababu Naidu publicly announced he wants to stop contesting in elections. TDP has lost deposits in few constituencies and did not win even a seat in last by-polls that were held in Telangana region and Kovvur.

Chandrababu made some special statements during yesterday’s press conference at his home. He expressed his frustration about by-polls by saying he can’t understand for whom these by-polls are coming? Babu admitted there is no use of contesting in by-elections. CBN said if they stop contesting then it would be like giving license to this worst government to continue their bribe and that’s the reason they are contesting in elections. He added TDP doesn’t have money to distribute to voters.

TDP is going to celebrate its 31st anniversary on March 29. Babu urged people to vote for TDP in upcoming 2014 elections for bright future of our state. TDP is like a factory and there are several former TDP leaders in Congress, YSR Congress and PRP. He assured TDP is ready to give 33 percent of seats to youngsters in next elections. While discussing about crisis in TDP, he said crisis is not new to the party; they faced several crises in the form of Indira Gandhi, and YS Rajasekhar Reddy etc.

It seems by-poll results disappointed former chief minister once again. He campaigned in all constituencies vigorously but people simply rejected him. During the media conference, he indirectly targeted YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his news channel.

Congress and TDP spent huge money in last by-polls but they failed to receive the victory while YSR Congress Party did not distribute money and won with huge majority. It clearly indicates that people are not in a position to believe Congress and TDP.

YS Jagan Arrest vs CBI Charge Sheet!

After by-polls, every one is eagerly waiting to know about YS Jagan arrest and CBI charge sheet. YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is in safe zone as CBI plans to submit the charge sheet with out his arrest this week. CBI has been investigating the Jagan’s illegal assets case since several months and time has come to report the charge sheet in this case.

CBI has to file the charge sheet in Jagan’s illegal assets case of YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy on March 30, 2012. CBI joint director V V Lakshmi Narayana flew to Delhi to discuss with higher officials regarding this case. On Monday, Lakshmi Narayana met CBI director A P Singh in New Delhi and in the evening, he also met home minister P Chidambaram. CBI sources say they could not find any proper evidences in Jagan’s illegal assets case.

Two issues have been worrying CBI in this case. First, they can’t arrest YS Jagan without proper evidence and they can’t even arrest Jagan just for the sake of charge-sheet. Second, CBI needs to be mum in the court if it failed to produce evidence against Kadapa MP.

Earlier, CBI arrested Gali Janardhan Reddy, the Accused No. 1 in the Obulapuram Mining Case and similarly, it had arrested senior IAS officer B P Acharya, the A-1, in the case of Emaar case.

On the other side, YSRCP and Jagan seemed not bothering about the case and they are enjoying the celebrations of Kovvur victory. YSRCP claims CBI forcing people, whom CBI arrested, to say Jagan’s name. Obviously, Jagan has been busy in his “Odarpu Yatra” in Guntur district.

Kovvur victory, a big boost for YS Jagan Mohan Reddy

All is well for YS Jagan Mohan Reddy!!!!!!!!!! It’s a first victory for YSR Congress Party after Kadapa and Pulivendula elections. Prasanna Kumar Reddy won with 23496 votes in Kovvur by-elections. Every one has to accept that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is the only man behind Prasanna’s victory in Kovvur. Now, he is preparing for the next by-polls in seventeen constituencies.

As everyone expected YSRCP won in Kovvur by-elections. Initially, YSRCP candidate Prasanna Kumar Reddy worried about the victory but he was saved by Jagan campaign. First Jagan campaign was scheduled only for three days later it was extended to five days because of massive response from people. Jagan charisma and his campaign have played a major role in Prasanna’s victory.

It’s not easy to win with that much of majority in Kovvur for YSRCP. Overcoming TDP district president Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy and Congress candidate and former MLA P Srinivasa Reddy is a big task. However, YSRCP played wonderful strategies by sending MLC Jupudi Prabhakar and former minister Mareppa to campaign in SC/ST areas.

Reports stated that YSRCP did not distribute money in Kovvru while Congress and TDP spend crores of rupees. TDP supporters arrested while distributing money and liquor. YSRCP managed to increase its credibility among people with strong political values.

Kovvur result hikes YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s confidence for upcoming by-elections. He already prepared a schedule for election campaign. If he can manage to win in all seats in by-elections then he can easily survive in 2014 elections.

Adilabad TRS, Jogu Ramanna won with 31,396 votes.

Station ghanapur TRS, Thatikonda Rajaiah won with 32,765 votes.

Kammareddy TRS, Gampa Govardhan Reddy won with 44,465.

Kollapur TRS, Jupalli Krishna Rao won with 15,013 votes.

Mahaboob Nagar BJP, Srinivasa Reddy won with 1875 votes.

Nagarkurnool Nagam won with 27327 votes.

Good luck Jagan!!!!!!

Chiru’s new tensions!

Soon-to-be Rajya Sabha member Chiranjeevi seemed to be suffering with new tensions. Former PRP president has to resign for MLA to move to Rajya Sabha and he has to take the responsibilities to lead the congress party to emerge victorious in Tirupathi by-elections.

Mega star Chiranjeevi is nominated for Rajya Sabha from congress party so he needs to resign for his MLA position. Chiru has been worrying about by-polls as it is not easy for him to lead the congress in upcoming elections. Congress leader is considering his brother-in-law Arvind or his wife or his brother Nagababu to be the contestant in the place of him.

Tirupathi people frustrated with Chiru as he is not bothering the development of his constituency. Several times people from his constituency filed missing case about their MLA. Chiru lost his credibility after entering into politics. He managed to win only 18 seats in 2009 elections and he backstabbed several of his supporters by merging PRP into congress.

It’s not easy for Chiru to win in by-polls this time because Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, YSRCP aspirant has been campaigning in Tirupathi since last five months. In 2009 elections, Chiru won with slight majority in Tirupathi but lost against Usharani in his home town Palakollu.

If Chiru wants to become central minister then he must win in Tirupathi by-polls which is quiet difficult for him at this point of time. He is also struggling with family issues. Chiru’s younger brother Pawn Kalyan has been staying away from his brothers since PRP merged into congress.

Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy’s resignation accepted

Nellore MP Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy’s resignation was accepted by Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar on Tuesday, February 28.

On Wednesday, Lok Sabha Secretary-General T.K. Viswanathan spoke to the media about the resignation acceptance of Nellore MP. Viswanathan says earlier LS speaker had a discussion with Mr. Rajamohan Reddy to know the reasons behind his resignation. After the meeting, Meira has accepted his resignation.

A statement is also released by Lok Sabha regarding this issue. Mekapati resigned to his MP protesting the induction of the name of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy in the FIR by the CBI against YSR Congress president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy for allegedly possessing disproportionate assets.

Yesterday, Mekapati said he is not feeling sad for leaving the congress. He decided to stand by with Jagan Mohan Reddy and Jagan’s leadership skills motivated him to join YSR Congress. He announced that he will contest in Nellore parliament elections as YSR Congress party candidate.

First, Rajamohan contested from Narasaraopet MP Constituency in 2004 and won with huge majority. In 2009, he contested from Nellore and continued his victory. He resigned to MP membership on August 26, 2011. He has been named as strong supporter of YSR Congress party. With his dismissal, strength of Congress members in Lok Sabha from AP has come down to 31 from 32. Previously, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy resigned to the membership of parliament on November 29, 2010. Jagan established YSR Congress and won from Kadapa in the by-election with over 5 lakhs majority and returned to Loksabha on May 13, 2011.

YSRCP focused on huge majority in Kovur

It’s a prestigious election for YSRCP president Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy. He and his party have focused on huge majority in the Kovur by-elections.

Nallapureddy Prasanna Kumar Reddy is contesting from YSRCP. Previously, he contested from TDP and won with majority. Prasanna Kumar Reddy’s father Srinivasulu Reddy had a good following in Kovur constituency and in some areas in Nellore district as well. Prasanna Kumar has been continuing his father’s legacy after Srinivasulu’s demise.

Couple of days ago, Prasanna filed nomination papers in the presence of Nellore MP Mekapati Raja Mohan Reddy. YSRCP appointed Konathala Ramakrishna, Mekapati, and Kakani Govardhan Reddy as election in charges to Kovur constituency.

YSRCP has been forward in election campaign among all other parties. TDP’s Nellore District’s Party President Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy is contesting from TDP and former MLA Polamreddy Srinivasulu Reddy is likely to contest from Congress.

All the three parties’ leaders have been meeting with their followers and strictly saying to campaign aggressively for their respective candidates.

YSRCP has already announced YS Jagan campaign schedule in Kovur. Party sources are confident that Prasanna Kumar will easily win with 30,000 majority. YS Jagan is desperately looking to repeat Kadapa and Pulivendula results in Kovur as well.

The last date of nomination withdrawal is March 3, polling date is March 18 and counting of votes is March 21.
